Goals
We plan to enroll more than 1000 students at any point in time after the first year, which we propose would start in 2010. We plan to collect and collate training materials to cover basic web development, databases and programming languages. We plan to partner with more than 100 cyber cafes in Nigeria to provide computer resources to the students. As an incentive, the Nigerian Federal Government would grant tax reductions for cyber cafes that partner with us. We plan to partner with at least 5 computer science departments. The Advanced Thinkers, AT, plan to register the institute as an educational institution in Nigeria. After the first year, we plan to graduate 100,000 students annually with accredited degrees granted by the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Education.
Plan
Advanced Thinkers would launch a web portal, which would provide access to training materials which include, but are not limited to webinars, PowerPoint slides, and e-books. After which, AT would embark on a major publicity and enlightenment spree targeting high school grads and recent unemployed graduates. We will draw from a wide range of contacts which include our past high schools, affiliated institutions, and organizations involved in educational outreach and enrichment. We will also make use of advertisement via available mass media communication. Interested students would register in the web portal, and be provided with the necessary courseware together with a description of the program and a study timetable. Then, the students who lack access to personal computers would be assigned to partner cyber caf
