Goals
Many students do not have access to food preparation equipment, beyond a microwave or a vending machine. Community Eat will focus, in aiding safe alternatives to the modern day household kitchen and dining room. Many students unite around food, why go to restaurants or take out (pizza) for club meetings and organizational events on campus, when we can prepare simple meals together and feed ourselves rater than rely on others to serve us!
Plan
Stage I (February/March 2009) Community Eat will develop a day long event at the College of Lake County, a commuter college, that has cook stations where students learn how to make a meal, cook that meal, and eat the products in this social setting (the Atrium, equivalent to a student union). This event (project) is partnered through a new startup club on campus S.I.F.E. (Students of Free Enterprise
