We, Vandboeffelklubben, who a small group, will collect money to give for microlending to finance water buffaloes in Asia. A water buffalo can lead a poor family out of poverty and give them a chance for a brighter future filled with hope and free from hunger. The animal provides draft power for planting rice and potatoes, milk for protein, and manure for fertilizer and fuel.
A family can plant four times more rice with a water buffalo than by hand.

October 9, 2008 - Through the microlending organization Kiva.org we partly have financed a water buffalo (It is not possible to indicate how close we are to have comleted our commitment as it is a on going commitment)

March 29, 2009 - Great succes at the fundraising barbeque. Everybody was enthusiastic about making a better tomorrow today (photo from the preparations). Now we have some more money to lend to Kiva and the entrepreneurs they are supporting.

March 29, 2009 - Also we plan to buy a share in the microlending bank Oikos (www.oikos.dk). The bank is doing a great job in microlending and still can use more capital.
