To serve you and your

To serve you and your initiative would be a dream come true. I am a disabled, American living in Europe. I would love to return home to the US, if even for 3 months to a half year spreading your message of "SERVICE" to many people in the hope of inspiring others, as I have been inspired, to serve something greater than ones self. Your global initiative and the election of Barack Obama this year has given hightend inspiration to serve something greater than ourselves. No matter what our limitations might be. My motto is not just " YES WE CAN " - my motto is YES WE MUST" !

My friend, Holly Caufield,

My friend, Holly Caufield, helped to found a school in Nairobi, Kenya. One of the dorms is named for her...Holly's House. The website is www.galileeschool.org . I help out with what they need and thought I would pass this on to you. I have encouraged her to contact your foundation. Your foundation has a wonderful purpose and I would love to commit in some way...either time or treasure.

I am a 54 year old woman. I

I am a 54 year old woman. I am also the mother of 7 children and 4 grandchildren. I live off of $624 month, disability check. I suffer severely from degenerative disc disease, arthritis, spinal stenosis, bursitis, and obesity. Mildly putting it and basically saying that I am dying slowly, but painfully. I have insurance that will cover an
operation that would help me to see my grandchildren grow and possibly get to see my great grandchildren grow up. I will soon develop diabetes along with all the other ailments that I suffer from if I do not get the surgery that is needed. I need to have LapBand Surgery. I cannot afford the cost of the doctors fees. The total amount of the surgery is $15,000, but my inusrance will pay about $8,000 of that amount. I am writing this because I want to know if anyone is making a effort to raise money to help pay the cost of these type of operations that could save people's lives. I wouild love to live and see my grandchildren grow up and maybe some great grandchildren. I am reaching out by letting people know that I need this type of help. I worked all of my life on low paying jobs, and my Social Security check never pays for everything. I always have to go out and get help from food pantries, clothes closets, and just everything that will help make ends meet each and every month. I could even work more if I
could save my health. I love to work, but I am getting where the pain of all of the combined ailments are taking a toll on my ability to go out and work full time. I am only able to work part time. The extra money that I do work for goes for living expenses. I know that there is help out there. The cost of food, medicine, utilities, and gasoline has skyrocketted. I feel so hopeless at times. My children can't help me because they are too poor, and the hard economic times has it each and every one of us. I will never acquire the American Dream of owning my own home, so I would rather save my health and just rent the rest of my life. If anyone knows of a doctor who would perform the surgery free of charge or who would do a Pro-Bono charity case, please let me know. Or if anyone knows of people who are doing fund raisers for people who cannot pay for the high cost of doctors. I know that this would help me, if I could just get the help that I need. God Bless to everyone out there and hope to hear from someone soon.

I have worked all of my

I have worked all of my adult life (most of the time 2 jobs at a time). I was a single mother trying to make ends meet. Now she is 35 an has alot of health problems. I have always tried to help as much as possible. I was raised to believe: you start in your home, then your community, state & country. There are people here in the US who die every year because they do not have what they need to live. I think its great that you want to; but, look around you childred dying everyday, adults & their families who do not have a shelter, food, doctors. Alot of these people look completely normal & should be able to work a job. on a job interview they have on old, dirty clothes, No one will give a homeless person a job. I always had the good life. My gallbladder ruptured, and all with in one hour my whole life changed. I've tried to get a grant so far no help. I can't work, I can't drive, I can't even keep my house clean. Before this I was very healthy, happy, and living the American dream, now I live on minute at a time. I loved to work, I took great pride in my job, so I would say that this was the worst, I loved to drive, We had a good name (now our credit is horrible). If you think this could not happen to you... well thats what I thought too. If you have an answer to this nite-mare, please share it with me.

I get old computers and

I get old computers and parts from garage and yard sales. I refit them and give them to needy folks. I also have come across some good programs for free on the internet. Maybe some folks have old computers (running or not) they would like to get rid of or have someone that needs an inexpensive computer to use.

I did circuit board and computer assembly before I retired. If anyone can use my skills I would be glad to help.

I am a letter carrier. I

I am a letter carrier. I made a suggestion that the plastic wrap and bulk paper mail be recycled at each post office. At the present time all goes into local land fills. I tried to start a local campaign at my post office shortly before I retired. For one week I had all the carriers seperate the plastic wrap that magazines and other bulk mail came bundled in. At the end of the week I had over 25 garbage bags full of the plastic wrap ready for the local Green Team to pick up when the local postmaster stopped us and said nothing goes out of the post office without her approval. I never got her approval even though I had informed her of what I was doing. I also suggested that we have all bulk mail that is undeliverable shredded and recycled. The Green Team had also arranged for this to take place and she refused to meet or discuss the project. My theme was Making Postal Blue turn Green. It died on the vine when I left but I think the Federal Governmant should be leading the waay but it is not.

HIYA, BRIAN MY GOODNESS.

HIYA, BRIAN

MY GOODNESS. WE'RE TWINS. WONDER IF YOU'D LIKE TO HELP ME WITH MY MANUAL "BUILDING A GLOBAL VILLAGE". HERE'S A PORTION OF THE INTRODUCTION.

This manual was conceived to function as a starting point for facilitating the organization and processing of global issues. The proposals here are intended to assist in SYSTEMATICALLY developing a global ethos that could ultimately carry us toward lasting order and prosperity worldwide. Using the analogy of a physical structure, Building a Global Village outlines a means by which modern-day pioneers on a new-world frontier can “get on the same page” and move forward confidant that “the right hand knows what the left hand is doing.” However, it is a living blueprint, capable of growth and, therefore, of change.
Admittedly, erecting such an edifice is an enormous undertaking. Some, for one reason or another, would even say that it’s impossible. However, with enough of us visualizing common goals and pulling together in the same directions, bit by bit, it surely can be raised.

There is one thing stronger than all of the armies of the world and that is an idea whose time has come.

I have always believed

I have always believed humble and caring people have touched peoples heart at some point in their lives. We are never ending searching for happiness, but we do not realize that within us is the happiness we can give to others. This website is warm and kind. It takes the leadership that has been created here to be able to serve to the needy and share the faith and love that is so desired.

Have a wonderful year full of giving and receiving!

Thank you, Presient Clinton

Thank you, Presient Clinton & your commitment.org staff/supporters for this type of unmet facility and inspiration that seemed to be long overdue!

My colleagues and I at the McMaster U/Hamilton Health Sciences(Hamilton,ON,Canada) had always desired to further research and apply the benefits of Tai Chi, as a mind-body exercise, to patients' supportive and/or preventive care. Owing to its non-pharmacological approach to patients' or even healthy normals' medical care and prevention, we have been very challenged to obtain the necessary fundings to advance in our endeavours. We feel that our efforts will help lessen the medication burdens, its costs and often adverse side-effects to those who may benefit from the art of Tai Chi; preventatively, it can also reduce the burden on virtually any medicare system by virtue of empowering people to de-stress themselves. But since becoming aware of your inspirational goodwill initiative, we feel that we must not give up to advance the hidden treasures of the art of Tai Chi for anyone who desire to reap its rewards. Thank you for the sustaining inspiration!

Karen, As a Registered Case

Karen,
As a Registered Case Manager I woek with the elderly on a daily basis. I am very concerned about the price of prescription medications. I help coordinate discharge planning for patients oncw they leave the hospital, and the cost of their meds is very expensive. Did you know that Wallmart will refill prescriptions for $4/month on most generic prescriptions?

Dear Dr. Canan. I agree.

Dear Dr. Canan.
I agree. Currently, we are participating in a US/Irag Bridge of Hope Exhibit. Works by 8 Iraqi artists and 8 US artists. Much has been done to get the artwork here from Iraq. You can imagine! First show was beautiful and small, one work each. Larger show planned. Are you interested in helping? Rosemary Lane, artist, is curator of US artists and the one working to get show spaces, funding for catalog, etc. Iraqi artists to be hosted in Delaware for one month. To see their work is an eye opener. Very modern and beautiful.
Thanks for your note to mycommitment.org recognizing the arts. Cahill recently reminded us that the Enlightenment began with Voltair and the arts. Before then retribution and killing each other was all that was considered.

From The Heart of San

From The Heart of San Francisco
December 31, 2007 - Last of the Old Year

Dear President Clinton

Re: Access & Inclusion for Disabled Lives Globally

I thank you most sincerely for your kindness in writing to me and giving me uplift when I needed it most this last year.

First, I am on life support system, and can afford only what I am on, period. I need only prayers now for myself. I also have multiple sclerosis, chronic pain 25/7, etc., to name a few. But take not medications what so ever, because I would lose what remainder of my kidney function I have. I continue to live on and with prayer
One of the most unusual experiences I have ever had, was after being on dialysis for three years, I prayed for God to help me leave dialysis, and a little over 3 years that prayer was answered in my rolling away from dialysis for exactly six years. But, you see, my life revolves around prayer, throughout my life. I place no other objects before God except my honest faith. I am on the National Transplant list, O negative and have already waited over 3 years. I have gone back on dialysis and don't think this time there will be any real changes. Whatever happens in my time is my time, but grateful for my family, and having received life.

I ask only three main points in my life now that involves the closing of my life's work. This is: for people locally and globally to help me raise at least $50,000, so this next September 2008, our non-profit may hold an event/ program here in San Francisco by and for disabled lives.

I want to bring together global advocates in a public forum to speak out on relevant and important issues such as global, 'access and inclusion'; Part of my deciding to have a forum on this issue is from my own issues of lack of transportation. Imagine having to wait for over 15 years, for public transportation, in your city, but the tram just three blocks from your front door is not wheel chair accessible. Well, that is my issue, as it is millions of others lives. I know around the globe, there are many in similar if not life threatening needs, and access to many places remain out of their lives. Inclusion, of course is another difficult issue. It enters into millions of lives culturally as well. Many places of the globe, children to elderly in the world are shunned, virtually hidden away because they are disabled. I'm an advocate over 40 years, in my city, and serve on my cities Mayoral Disability Council when I can. I decided this year, no matter what my difficulties remain, I must offer my life to making change in some significant way. What better offering than to bring together peoples of the earth, many of the most fragile, but never in spirit, to let the world know, we are here to stay and not going to disappear. We are here to lead for us, for all of you.

The second part is towards needs for my event. It is to find peoples to help me get out the message of our event to lives with global disabilities to come here to San Francisco, add their voices to our support for Universal Human Rights, join our special day's event in September; I know I want our day's event to be held mid September, but one needs actual cash to pay for the site, gain disabled products, screens for the deaf to read, Braille for the blind, etc. A virtual army of people who believe in this as well our lives and advocacy. We take no salaries; it is all an offering from hour hearts directly.

In today's world, people hardly know their next door neighbor, let alone find a handful of people willing to walk across the street and shake it. This is my problem as well. People with disabilities, have this challenge and many many more. Still we must not give up hope. Would you?

I don't know from where I shall be able to gain the voice, the physical connect and actual support of peoples of the earth, but hopefully, as I write to you and others, the Grace of God, will help this to be a reality.

As you look for peoples to respond to you here, I also look for citizens, youth, children to become aware of others who need real care, and significant changes in and for their health care, short and life long. I pray you and others will help send my message far and wide, translated into many wonderful languages, thrown into the air like the lightness of a fine pizza, and shared with appreciativeness for the bread provided.

Thirdly is why we are holding our special day, through my non-profit [MHONA INTERNATIONAL] or Multiple Helpers Outreach Network Affiliates, here in San Francisco. It is a 1 day event/program to remember those in our local and global communities of children to elderly, unable to leave their homes or beds, because of profound disabilities.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, The National Kidney Foundation has given their support, and I am reaching out as much as my strength allows to reach others who are in the work of helping our disabled lives. I pray there will be others in our world who will offer their firm support, funding, volunteerism and sooner, by July 1, 2008.

When you can't leave home very much, have only a computer, how on earth do you reach the 'heart' of human kind?

I think it is more than time from the very hearts of those of us affected by life threatening illnesses and any type of disabilities, we offer directly from our hearts, this special day for global connect. I would hope that all individuals, communities, family members and children will also join in sending to these dear lives notice as well of their firm support in that of bright beautiful cards of cheer, flowers, and the love from our hearts to tell them they are not forgot ever, on our special day in September.
Disabled, non-disabled, I pray all join with and stand with us to send out a major message of global unity!

Lastly, I want to continue the work here in the city where the Universal Human Rights was offered, to show the world from our hearts, minds and soul, we continue to create not only awareness, but positive realities of how to really care, protect, and offer our lives the best of being 'included', not because of our disabilities, but because of our "abilities".

If you should find people, certainly youth, in your journey as you send out your notices, please tell them, MHONA International in San Francisco, P.O. Box 22162, San Francisco, Ca. 94122.3218, seeks every support possible, support of major funders, volunteers, and voices to make this event 'alive and well' !

We need to pay for the site before we can even begin to plan. Therein is the biggest hurdle, and then find products for the event for disabled advocates, and for a friendly accessible stage.

I wish you a wonderful and "Happy New Year”.

Thank you for your thoughtfulness in continuing to send me updates. Let's hope your dreams, and the dreams of those who have no voice, will become a reality through this event, and an actual home to offer this work for many more generations to come. It has to come from us because we know what is best for our lives. People might do work in our name, but I believe it is time we roll up our sleeves and start getting involved ourselves, starting with this global event.

God be with you and your family!

Education in urban cities

Education in urban cities across America failed because the Dept of Education stop educators from teaching the key element to learning reading, writing, and spelling: PHONICS. After Brown vs The Board of Education in the fifties was litigated a decade or so later PHONICS disappeared from the education process. It did not return until 30 years later when a brilliant president decided to investigate why? children were not learning.

GRADUATION PLEDGE

GRADUATION PLEDGE ALLIANCE

The Graduation Pledge of Social and Environmental Responsibility states, "I pledge to explore and take into account the social and environmental consequences of any job I consider and will try to improve these aspects of any organizations for which I work." Students define for themselves what it means to be socially and environmentally responsible. Students at over a hundred colleges and universities are using the pledge at some level. The schools involved include liberal arts colleges (Whitman and Macalester); state universities (University of Vermont and University of Colorado), private research universities (Harvard University and University of Pennsylvania), and schools outside the U.S. (Taiwan and Canada). The Pledge is also now found at graduate and professional schools, as well as high schools.

Graduates who voluntarily signed the pledge have turned down jobs with which they did not feel comfortable and have worked to make changes once on the job. For example, they have promoted recycling at their organization, removed racist language from a training manual, worked for gender parity in high school athletics, and helped to convince an employer to refuse a chemical weapons-related contract.

Humboldt State University in California initiated the pledge, Manchester College coordinated the campaign effort for ten years, and Bentley College took over the reigns in the 2007-2008 school year. The project has taken different forms at different institutions. At Manchester, it is a community-wide event involving students, faculty, and staff. Typically, over fifty percent of students sign and keep a wallet-size card stating the pledge, while students and supportive faculty wear green ribbons at commencement. (At a few schools, a different color ribbon is used.) The pledge is printed in the formal commencement program.

Depending upon the school, it might take several years to reach this level of institutionalization. If one can get a few groups/departments involved, and get some media attention on (and off) campus, it will get others interested and build for the future. The project has been covered by newspapers (e.g., USA Today); magazines (e.g., Business Week), national radio networks (for instance, ABC); and local T.V. stations (like in Ft. Wayne, IN)

In a sense, the Pledge operates at three levels: students making choices about their employment; schools educating about values and citizenship rather than only knowledge and skills; and the workplace and society being concerned about more than just the bottom line. The impact is immense even if only a significant minority of the one million U. S. college graduates each year sign and live out the Pledge.

The Campaign has a web site, (www.graduationpledge.org ). Plus see our under construction newest web site which is geared to graduates in or about to enter the workforce ( www.e-xplore.org -- under construction). PLEASE KEEP US INFORMED OF ANY PLEDGE EFFORTS YOU ARE EVEN CONSIDERING TO UNDERTAKE, AS WE TRY TO MONITOR WHAT IS HAPPENING, AND PROVIDE PERIODIC UPDATES ON THE NATIONAL EFFORT (INCLUDING HINTS ON HAVING A SUCCESSFUL CAMPAIGN). Contact GA_GPA@Bentley.edu for information/questions/comments.

The Graduation Pledge is a project of the Bentley Alliance for Ethics and Social Responsibility, Bentley College.

Michael, I will be traveling

Michael,
I will be traveling to Ghana at the end of February 2008. I will be in the north-eastern area, in the village of Yarigo, for about 30 days. Myself and a group of people are looking to improve the education, water, crop production, and sanitation condition in the area. I am going there to make an assessment of what the village elders want to do, and how they want to go about doing things. Through prior communications, I know the chief and the elders are wanting computers in their schools.
I will be returning to Ghana in June to start working on the various projects I hope to have organized by then.
Please contact me with your information.
Thanks.

My 7th Grade Leaders

My 7th Grade Leaders

Mr. President,
I am a 7th grade teacher in Naperville, IL, and I am looking for a way to get my students involved on a global scale. Whether it be finding a way to help schools in Iraq or donate to the impoverished in Latin America, I want to find something that will have an impact not only globally, but that is meaningful to my students as well. I would love for them to gain a perspective different from their current one. As Kofi Annan said, “We may have different religions, different languages, different colored skin, but we all belong to one human race.” I would love any general adivce on how to begin such a project or specific details on organizations that we could lean on.

Thank you for all you've done for our country.

Terry Grahl believes in

Terry Grahl believes in divine intervention.

In the past six months, she's worked with close to 100 "angels."
Earlier this year, the 39 year old interior decorator and owner of Terry's Enchanted Cottage in Taylor, Mi. was asked by a friend to help women battling homelessness and abuse.

Grahl made a visit to their shelter in Pontiac and left inspired.
"I walked into a bedroom, which the women share," she said. "It was as if the room was screaming out, 'Save me!' I knew I had found my calling — a passion and purpose.
"The used nursing-home bedspreads could not comfort them on days when they just didn't want to go on. Stained towels, sheets, mattresses and pillows reminded me of how their souls must feel.
"I believe cozy surroundings not only inspire, but help us thrive," Grahl said. "When I left (the shelter) that cold, wintry day, I was determined and inspired to help 50 battered women who live at the shelter with their children."
Grahl said most residents are in a yearlong program, recovering from drug dependency and abuse.

Grahl, who said before this project she used to be shy, contacted professional painters, artists and area businesses, and raised close to $200,000 in donations, furniture and equipment to revamp the dilapidated living quarters.

On June 18, the women's bedroom at Grace Centers of Hope received a garden-style transformation.Grahl believes gardening satisfies cravings for fresh air and sunshine.

A long list of the "angels" who made a difference is posted on her Web site, www.terrysenchantedcottage.com
"I call them angels because I believe God sent them," she said. "Ninety angels from all over the world, including Australia, donated to this makeover.
Grahl said she was determined to create a bedroom that would enable the women to awaken to a room that would remind them every day: "I am precious. I am worthy. I am not a victim. I have the power to stop the torch of abuse and addictions from being passed on to my children."

Grahl believes the most touching thing found in the room are photographs of the women who currently live at the shelter.
"They were placed on the wall so that all the future women who find their way to safety will know there is hope," she said.

The artist admits she even learned a little bit about herself in the transformation.
"I believe in myself more," Grahl said. "I didn't realize how much strength I have. I have always been shy, but even a raindrop can make a ripple effect.
"I want everyone to know that all it takes is one person to say, 'I want to make a difference.'

Respected President

Respected President CLINTON,
Congratulations to you for starting a new project called "My Commitment"This is another milestone in your service to the poor and suffering. One who does not feel for the sufferings of other people is not at all a human being. Many people donot have hearts, but only stones in that place.you, not only have tender heart, but also make others to commit to serve.you are making this world a better place to live in.In other words, you are making this World an Heaven.By your service to the poor, you are writing your name and fame in golden letters in the History.People like Buddha, who were mortals attained immortality because of their service to the poor.Writers, painters, sculptors, and other eminent men who were interested in the welfare and well-being of humanity, immortalized them and made their image grow gradually throughout the ages till they became giants of history.I am sure you will become one of the giants this world has produced.I want to make a request. If humanity is to live happily and peacefully,JUSTICE has to be uphold at any cost,in all fields. You have the ability, inclination and resources to maintain JUSTICE in most parts of the World.
I wish you every success in all your endeavours.
GOD BLESS YOU, Mrs.CLINTON,and CHELSEA.

We have an idea in its

We have an idea in its infancy that would use waste/byproducts to help with cooking problems in poor countries and beyond.

As you say, if you have a problem, "take it to the engineering community."

How do we approach engineers for the first step?

Thanking you in advance for your response.

A great idea...here's

A great idea...here's something I've thought about. In California we can donate back all or part our state tax refund by checking boxes on the form (to food banks, children's day care, etc.). Why shouldn't this be a part of the federal tax form. Not only could the govt. contribute to some of these causes, but it would be a way of finding out which social programs citizens feel strongly about.

Sure these are engineering

Sure these are engineering problems. But, engineering solutions depend on their value which includes economic viability - capitalism.

So, let's create the needed 'environment' to solve these problems - by phasing-in federal tax shift from income to non-renewable energy - then let the maket decide. Similar to anti-trust and patent laws there will be 'winners' and 'losers', but overall all will win. Not a new idea, but an idea whose time has come.

I've been reading President

I've been reading President Clinton's book Giving. The theme is a powerful one, people coming together to help others less fortunate. I was blessed to have had the opportunity to travel with my friends from World Vision to Zambia and DR Congo. It was there in the Area Development Programs (Zamtan and Musele) that I bore witness to what President Clinton is talking about. Poverty unlike anything I'd ever seen before.

We must come together and dedicate ourselves to helping and supporting people in need across the globe.

My brother, sister and I were raised by a single mother. My mother worked two jobs at times to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. So I know first hand what is was like not to have, but if not for the courage and determination of my mother we'd not have become who we are today.

Looking back, these experiences have framed who I am today. I had always thought I was poor growing up, but having witnessed first hand the poverty that the children of Africa and other nations are dealing with, I was never poor, I was rich for having had a mother that went beyond the call of duty to ensure we were taken care of.

As a software executive I am now looking at ways of helping raise funding via the internet. The internet's reach is the most powerful tool we have in making people aware of the need and how they too can help.

On a daily basis I challenge everyone I know about what they are doing to help these important causes.

My goal this year is to secure sponsorship for 100 kids in World Vision Sponsorship program and raise enough money to build a new well in Musele. We can all make a difference and the sooner we mobilize, the sooner we can begin the healing process and providing a better life for people less fortunate.

Thank you for the energy, commitment and passion by which you go about your daily life President Clinton. We can and will make a difference if we choose to do so.

Michael

My commitment, is to

My commitment, is to alleviate poverty by investing more than 50% of my business profits into social purpose.

It began in 2003 when I met a homeless American who had already done the same.

Dear Sir, I was selected on

Dear Sir, I was selected on a special assignment during your visit to my country at the 1996 Asian-Pacific Economic Conference (APEC) and was very thankful for that opportunity to serve you with your group when you came to my country. Now, I am here in the United States. I have had wonderful opportunities like getting a good job and earning; meeting different people; keeping in touch with friends whom I have worked with in the past years most of them are instrumental in helping me get to where I am now. And my life had been a great adventure so far. At the end of this month of October 31st after working for over 8 years in a company of my choice I might not be able to continue my employment with them due to change in company ownership and management. Your program have inspired me and others I have shared what you have started here. If I end up unemployed later on I would like to offer my services to anyone who are part of your program who are willing to take me as a volunteer while I am still looking for another job, hopefully. Volunteering is a big part of my life and this is how I started before getting hired in the first place. By doing a volunteer work for over two years until a great opportunity came and started my employment serving with the US military and civilian personnel in my country for over 18 years. It was a great rewarding experience! I am not about to give up yet. We shall keep in touch with all of your latest news and activities and continue helping in anyways we can in our community here where I started. Thank you very much, you are truly a wonderful inspiration. God bless you always!!!

All you need is Love and

All you need is Love and this is the place to share it, watch it grow and never let it die. What we do for ourself dies with us and what we do for others lives on forever.

Often you have to reach out

Often you have to reach out to the community with an unique and fun fund raising event that brings the whole community together as well as raising awareness. We believe we have done this with "Build It For The Children". We decided to Build a home and auction it off for the local Child Advocacy Centers (www.builditforthechildren.org). We encouraged active public participation by having the public vote on all of the finishes to be incorporated into the home as it was being built. The business's were encouraged to donate product because of the exposure of the website and the chance to see which of there products the public preferred. It was a win win situation because the businesses could take the money out of their much larger "marketing" budget rather then their often small "charitable contributions" budget. With our 3rd annual charity home we have managed to raise a total of over $350,000 to help keep these charities alive and raise the public awareness (their other fund raising events have seen a substantial increase as well!).

Michael, I saw your posting

Michael,
I saw your posting when I was posting my commitment. Right now, I am in the process of selling my possessions, and I will be moving to Ghana in June of 2008. My goal is to provide students with more than just a basic education – I want to help them develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities to enter into the global arena fully aware of the prospects and problems of the world. To do this, computers and internet access is essential. I hope we can work together to fulfill our commitments.

This project is refreshing! Thank you President Clinton.

To whom much is given, much

To whom much is given, much is owed is an idiom often heard in America though it has been shown that the most given is by those like yourself who have much familiarity with those of little means or resources through their childhood years.

The desire for others not to suffer may be the motivation of such persons, and a noble, and honorable one it is. As such it is fitting that you make it your initiative to continue to remind people of the difference it makes in the world, a commendable effort in a world in which too often far too many appear to be forgotten and deprived of the Christian charity we all claim to believe in.

Together with such positive marketing, negative marketing to prevent the impression that as humans we are invincible to bad products, bad choices, or irresponsible ones is necessary to produce a world of social conscience and social responsibility. Perhaps that will help to prevent people from falling through the cracks of negligence and despair.

Congratulations on your newest of undertakings that fits your ideals and aspirations. Like Midas, everyone hopes it will "rub off" to produce the better world we all hope for.

We as a "world" have many

We as a "world" have many more options available then we are generally told. Ignorance is not "bliss", it's oppression. Just the wasted breath in claiming that we are bound to fossil fuels for electricity is an obscene lie. Look here st this DOD website. http://dodfuelcell.cecer.army.mil/pr_070606.html Plainly spoken, this is the answer to fossil fuels and the obscenely claimed "Energy Crisis".

Also, accepting lobby-money is no better then selling the American people into slavery, in fact there's no difference at all.

It is very inportant that

It is very inportant that Nepal is a very poor country. There is many problems . But this is a beutyful country. If the foundation will be start to support them HIV and such kind of other programme they feel luckly. If possible can we help them ?

Dear Mr. President, I am

Dear Mr. President,

I am starting by thanking for your commitment and hard work to make our world a better place. You are inspiring me everyday as a model of leadership. My commitment is to find a way to go back to my country and help the poor in the village get more access to education and a better healthcare and be able to compete in this new era.
The solutions that provide the big institution such as the World Bank and the Monetary Fund are not applicable to our African countries because they don't take in account our values and our culture. These programs try to change our habits then we can become more "westernize". The big institutions need to see our development from the eyes of the poor and not from the eyes of the rich. We won’t be able to develop our countries even with billions dollars pouring everyday in Africa. Please Mr. President I want you to join me to declare "Poverty" as a crime.
We as a citizen of the world must commit to fight poverty as we are fighting all the other diseases. As long as the western countries don’t allow themselves to look at the poor from the inside but from the outside they will miss the point and will always fail to win over poverty.
Please Mr. President your leadership can lift Africa and I hope that I can meet you then I can achieve my dreams to open The Bill Clinton School of Leadership not only in Senegal but thru Africa. The Bill Clinton School Of Leadership will teach programs such as:

• The impact of corruption in the economy of developing country
• Leadership: The benefit in sharing power
• Leadership: Democracy embracing Local Culture
• Poverty: The impact of Small Business in Remote Area
• Energy: The use of Solar as Alternative Power for the Poor
• New Technology: Linking the poor village to the World via the net
• Etc…

I am willing to fight for the poor because I am one of them and the first step to fight poverty is to acknowledge his existence in our daily life.

Mr. President, leadership is all what we need in Africa. I want to raise $750.000 to start The Bill Clinton School of Leadership in Senegal and I already have the land available.

Thank you for being Our Commander in Chief with your Global Initiative

I think President Bill

I think President Bill Clinton's idea is excellent!
That the volunteers beyond nationality gather and cooperate with their various kinds of ability to help the people who suffer from the poverty and diseases in the third world will grow into the worldwide solidarity to keep peace in the world and prevent the terrorism. I will also participate in this project with my studies about the third world. I hope my studies will contribute to the effective policy making to rescue the third world people from their severe situation. I admire President Bill Clinton's lasting effort for peace in the world since his tenure of office.

Mr. President, My commitment

Mr. President, My commitment starts from the time I wake up in the morning to the time I go to sleep at night, and my quest will not end till the day I die and hopefully someone else will carry on the torch.
My commitment is for peace and harmony amongst my fellow brothers and sisters in the house of the World. I am commited to ending the evil cycle of Conflict, hate, mis-trust and mis-understanding. I am hopeful that one day in my lifetime we can destroy all weapons of human destruction and instead provide tools and knowledge for building a better World and providing cross spectrum of learning and understanding.
I am in favor of ending conflicts and hate by means of discusion across a forum table rather from the turet of a M1A1 Abrams tank. I am in favor of teaching and learning and openning opportunities to all of the World and helping those to become self reliant rather than reliance on others.
I am in favor of a clean planet, a clean means of power generation of operating our worlds power machinary and transportation modes. I am in favor of education for all as well as higher education open to all, and a quality education and not a state runned education or academic atmosphere which can be limited upon political view point or censored because of context by a corrupt political or religious ferver, my view is a open mind will open the door to a true free society; and by resricting learning your restricting a society. I am a firm believer in equality and Democracy; but Democracy has to be taught, not sent as a hand written message tied to the barrel of a gun.
Democracy is a belief not a subject matter and was established by the ancient Athenian Greeks whom were academics and philosophers and help revolutionize our World through freedom; yet in today's society we have forgotten the true sense and essense of Demcracy and in my opinion, the belief has become a commodity along side the various other institutions that support Democracy, I believe all people are created equal around the World, and it is my quest to insure that True Democracy shall never be corrupted or deminished and that the current form of Democracy our society practices receives an excellent house cleaning through peaceful means, and that true Democracy be returned as an updated and viable form of freedom to be taught to the World.
Mr. President, we cannot and must not continue on the current course we a traveling through time on, because this will only lead to ruin and a negative belief system. Mr. President I look upon you as my mentor and the True leader of the Free World, and it is through your intative and the challenge to your fellow World family that I am positive we will see great strides in helping me as well as others whom strive to achieve the same goals of World peace and harmony.
May your God of your devotion bless you, and always be with you, may the wind always be at your back and your toils in life never to difficult.
Thank you.

Brian A. Morgan
